How do you identify and define related growers?

Related Growers describe the relationships between different individuals or entities in our database. Here are the types of relationships we track:

  • Business relationships. These growers have some type of business entity. This could either be a wholly owned subsidiary or in conjunction with other co-owners.
  • Household relationships. These growers have the same mailing address.
  • Land relationships. These growers have a land agreement where one grower owns the land and the other farms the land.
  • Phone relationships. These growers have a common phone number.
  • Subsidy payment relationships. These growers have a known split of FSA subsidy payment.
