Acreage Demographics

Unlike magazine survey data, which utilizes unverified and voluntarily supplied crop and acreage numbers, Farm Market iD ® data is verified through the government's own data collection methodology. Our acreage data is reported at the farm field level to the tenth of an acre. We compile this data, using a proprietary algorithm developed through years of experience, and accurately assign total acres to each grower in the database. By using this methodology, we ensure that acreage is never duplicated or or double-counted. This is how the FMiD database is the most accurate in the industry.

  Crop Demographics

The Farm Market iD grower database contains nearly 250 Ag related demographics, all independently verified by the BPA Worldwide for accuracy. In addition, we create 25 summary codes such as Planted Acres, Combineable Acres, and Gross Farm Income. These summary codes make database searches easier when knowing exactly what is being planted is less important than knowing how much is being planted.

There are times, though, were specific crop type data is necessary. Here is an example of how we can breakdown a simple wheat request.
